It was not as a photographer but as a friend that I attended & photographed the beautiful christening of Hugo Franklin. Proud parents Jason & Imogen carefully planned each little detail. With family flying in from abroad, it was a stunningly perfect day to celebrate Hugo’s life.
Imogen & I were pregnant at the same time and went to the same Doula classes. We shared long chats in the afternoon, wondering how our lives were about to change. We shared tips, talked baby gear and when gave birth to Layla 3 months before her due date, I took Layla over and we talked about what motherhood was really like.
Hugo is a happy baby, not a single tear was shed the entire day. The ceremony, held a the gorgeous chapel at The Garden of The Groves was decorated with blue & cream Hydrangeas. With Reverend Reno Smith officiating, the parents & God Parents promised to raise Hugo up to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and bring him up in the Christian way way of life.
