Grand Hyatt Baha Mar Destination Wedding in Nassau, The Bahamas

Chelsea & Anthony’s Grand Hyatt Baha Mar destination wedding felt like the perfect chapter in a whirlwind love story. They met in 2016 in Utah while Chelsea was there for summer break. Eight months of long distance later, Anthony decided he’d had enough of “goodbyes,” drove across the country, and moved to North Carolina. From there, everything fell into place—naturally, joyfully, and fast.

Wedding Prep at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar

We started the day with Chelsea and her girls getting ready. The Rosewood Spa & Salon worked their magic on hair while the suite filled with easy laughter and that buzz every bride knows. Chelsea stepped into a sleek Mikaella by Paloma Blanca gown and Loeffler Randall heels—effortless, modern, and so her. Her bridesmaids slipped into chic dresses from Revelry, a refined palette that played beautifully with Baha Mar’s airy interiors.

Meanwhile, Anthony and his groomsmen claimed the pool room—a relaxed, gentlemanly vibe in tailored suits from The Black Tux. A little camaraderie, a few deep breaths, and a quiet moment before the day truly began.

Intimate Chapel Wedding Ceremony

Their first look on the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar staircase was a favorite. It was quiet, just the two of them with a hint of ocean breeze, and the kind of emotion you can feel even before you see it in photos. They exhaled, smiled, and you could see the nerves melt away.  At the chapel, Wildflowers framed the moment with a gold arch brimming with pink and blue blooms. The design felt fresh and refined—romantic without trying too hard. As vows were exchanged, family and friends leaned in, soaking up every word.

Sunset Reception with Flamingos

The celebration moved outdoors where flamingos wandered like whimsical VIPs. Sunset gave us that signature Bahamian glow and the dance floor opened with their first dance to “Sleep on the Floor” by The Lumineers—tender, cinematic, and so them. Heartfelt speeches followed, and Chelsea and Anthony shared a sweet first bite that had everyone cheering. DJ Encore kept the energy high and the floor full all night. We moved through portraits, candids, and those in-between moments I love most—the hand squeezes, the quick kisses, the happy tears you don’t plan but always hope for. They ended the night with a sparkler exit, lights flickering against the island sky as their guests sent them off in a tunnel of joy. It was the perfect finale to a day that felt honest, stylish, and deeply personal.

If you’re planning a destination wedding at Baha Mar and want imagery that’s artful, warm, and true to your story, I’d love to create something beautiful with you.
