Working with teenagers can go one of two ways: reserved or all in. What I loved about this family is that their kids brought so much energy and personality. Their daughter leaned effortlessly into the experience, while her brother kept everyone laughing with his quick wit. Together, they gave me the perfect mix of polished portraits and candid moments that really captured their bond.
The Beauty of Baha Mar
The grounds at Baha Mar offered us endless variety—from lush garden walkways to wide, open beachfront. Every turn gave us a fresh setting, and we used the soft Bahamian light to our advantage, creating portraits that looked editorial yet authentic.
One of my favorite parts was watching the family relax into the shoot—walking hand in hand, sharing inside jokes, and letting their natural closeness shine through. For me, family sessions are never about just lining everyone up and saying “cheese.” It’s the daughter wrapping her arm around her mom. The son cracking a joke that gets his dad laughing mid-shot. And the four of them together, framed against turquoise waters, looking like themselves—happy, connected, and fully present in that moment.
