Not every love story follows tradition, and Gina & Justin’s certainly didn’t. After tying the knot back home in a civil ceremony, the couple reached out to Winter, our associate photographer, with a vision that made her excited the second she heard it: an editorial bridal shoot in the serenity of crystal clear waters, captured from above by drone, with them lying gracefully in FULL wedding attire.
It sounded perfect. Timeless. Modern. Beautiful. As we know about nature, though, it always has other plans and no mercy. The ocean was everything BUT calm. The waves rolled in and pounded the shore, making it nearly impossible for Gina and Justin to hold poses even near the shoreline let alone float in the water.
But when flexibility, creativity, and absolutely rockstar clients come together, the best portraits come to life. Together Winter and the newlyweds adapted and used the drama of that rough sea to our advantage. The results of this editorial bridal shoot ? See for yourself
