Hi, I’m Lyndah Wells — a portrait and wedding photographer based in The Bahamas. We photographed this beautiful family session at the golden hour at the elegant Rosewood Baha Mar in Nassau, New Providence. The session was timed perfectly to catch the golden hour glow, and it couldn’t have been more magical. From the moment we started on the manicured lawns of the Rosewood, there was laughter, gentle chaos many heartwarming moments.
Golden Hour Family Session at the Rosewood Baha Mar
We began on the manicured lawns just as the sky softened into gold. Mom—radiant after a glam session with Shades of Beauty—gathered her crew of nine: a curious one-year-old, an energetic three-year-old, and five proud grandparents who couldn’t stop smiling. To keep the little ones intrigued, I pulled out my secret weapon: bubbles. The kids chased shimmering orbs while the grandparents looked on with delight, and in those candid bursts of laughter we captured the kind of moments that don’t need staging.
As the sun dipped lower, we strolled down to the beach. Rosewood’s shoreline never disappoints; the pastel sky mirrored in calm turquoise water gave us a dreamy backdrop. Bare feet in the sand, sea-breeze tousled hair, and that golden light wrapped around every hug and playful twirl. The grandparents held the kiddos by the water’s edge, toes sinking into warm sand, while Mom and Dad stole a quiet moment together. We finished just as the sun set, everyone relaxed, and smiling wide.
After their session, we hopped on a Zoom call to review the images together. During that call, they decided on a handcrafted album made in Greece, along with a 20-image reveal box.
If you’re planning a multigenerational trip to The Bahamas and want to document your time together, I’d love to help you create something meaningful. Reach out, and let’s start planning your own golden hour story.
