Destination Garden Wedding at The Island House in The Bahamas

Margaret and Peter’s wedding weekend in Nassau was the perfect blend of laid-back island charm and effortless luxury. From their playful beachside welcome party to their destination garden wedding at The Island House every moment reflected their style. They met through mutual friends and quietly dated before deciding to make it official—and once they did, there was no looking back.

Wedding Prep at The Island House

Their wedding weekend began with a warm welcome at the Old Fort Bay Club. Guests mingled barefoot in the sand, played a few rounds of beach soccer, and settled into the relaxed Bahamian vibe.

The next day, anticipation buzzed as Margaret got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, her mother, and Peter’s mom. She slipped into an elegant Lela Rose gown, paired with Alexandre Birman heels, with her glowing look completed by Raven Simone on makeup and Frank & Linwood styling her hair to perfection. Her bridesmaids wore striking Taller Marmo dresses that added a modern twist to the tropical setting. Meanwhile, Peter and his groomsmen shared laughs and a toast while getting ready.

Gorgeous Garden Wedding Ceremony

He met Margaret for an intimate first look in the lush gardens at Old Fort Bay Club—just the two of them, sharing a quiet moment before the celebration unfolded. The ceremony took place in the gardens at The Island House, a hidden gem of a venue that offered the perfect mix of natural beauty and modern design. Planned to perfection by D’Vanya Hinsey, the day flowed effortlessly.

Reception Under a Stunning Glass Tent

As the sun dipped lower, guests made their way to a stunning reception set under a glass tent, transformed into a dreamy space by Wildflowers Bahamas. It was equal parts tropical elegance and garden romance. Their first dance was followed by a sweet moment as they shared their first bite from The Boutique Cake, a piece almost too beautiful to cut into. Encore the Band serenaded guests during dinner, creating the perfect atmosphere before the energy kicked up a notch with a Junkanoo rush out that had everyone on their feet. DJ iGnite kept the party going late into the night.

Margaret and Peter’s destination garden wedding at The Island House wasn’t just a day—it was a full experience. A celebration of love, family, culture, and a beautiful new beginning. It was an honor to capture every unforgettable moment.
