There’s something undeniably magical about a maternity session—especially when it’s designed with creativity, and love. Aqueelah’s stunning editorial maternity session was all that and more.
Editorial Maternity Studio Session
We began her session in Fryme Studios, where she stepped into a timeless white gown, styled with a rose-adorned shawl that felt like a soft ode to femininity and new life. The simplicity of her look allowed the textures and florals to speak volumes, adding quiet elegance to each frame. For her second look, Aqueelah changed into another white dress—this one delicately decorated with butterflies. It felt symbolic, like transformation captured in real time. We played with the lighting—from rich reds to bold blues—and introduced a spotlight to create that editorial edge. Each setup felt like a new chapter of her story unfolding in front of the lens. But the beauty didn’t stop there.
Stunning Outdoor Family Session
Later, we moved outdoors, where Aqueelah was joined by her husband and their two sons. It was heartwarming to see the boys riding their matching blue bikes, with a pink one gently resting beside them—a sweet, unspoken nod to the sister they’re waiting to meet. These candid moments, filled with laughter and love, brought such joy to the session and beautifully balanced the more styled moments we created in-studio.
After the session, Aqueelah returned for her personalized image reveal. She selected her favorites and chose to preserve them in a handcrafted Youngbook album, made in Italy. With its clean lines and luxurious finish, it’s a timeless heirloom her daughter will one day flip through and feel just how loved she already is.
