Children’s Black & White Legacy Portraits with Lyndah Wells Photography

As parents, we often hear that cliche “Time flies”. It doesn’t truly sink in until we start seeing the little milestones in our own children’s lives. Recently, during a family vacation, I had one of those moments that made me pause. My kids, now confident and independent, were exploring the town on their own for the first time with their cousins. They were all once babies I could hold in my arms. Watching them navigate new experiences, it sank in, maybe truly for the first time, just how quickly they’re growing up. That moment of realization sparked something inside me. I wanted to create something that could capture not just who they are right now but also who they’ll become in the years ahead. And so, the idea for a Children’s Black & White Legacy Portrait Session was born.

These heirloom portrait sessions are designed to grow with your family. Once a year, we’ll revisit this special moment with a new session, documenting your child’s growth, personality, and milestones. The portraits are classic black and white, focusing on timeless expressions that capture their essence without distraction. These images are then transformed into beautiful framed prints to be displayed proudly in your home—art that tells the ongoing story of your family.

In the video below, I’m excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at how I’ve started this journey with my own children. I used them as models for the session, capturing the beauty of this fleeting time in their lives. At the end of the video, you’ll see the final results: portraits that I will cherish as art in our home and that will serve as a lasting memory of who they were at this moment.

I invite you to embark on this journey with your own family. Let’s create a legacy of love and memories that will stand the test of time. Because while time flies, portraits have the power to make it stand still—even if just for a moment. Click this link to learn more about these children’s Black & White Legacy Portraits.
