Proposals are one of our favorites at LWP. The excitement and nervousness of the partner is always contagious! We realize this is uncommon knowledge with our followers; we’re actually based in Grand Bahama- not New Providence. So, getting to coordinate location details was THAT much easier.
This surprise proposal in Freeport at Banana Bay beach was so sweet. Nomar and Nyla were on a cruise, and The Bahamas was just one of the many destinations they would visit. They grabbed a taxi and headed up for a beachside lunch at Banana Bay restaurant. Winter (my designated videographer) and I were already seated at a table, sipping a few drinks. We waited for the couple to order and enjoy their meal. Nomar and I exchanged knowing glances across the restaurant. A few weeks prior as we were planning over the phone, I advised him that Banana Bay always has a lovely sandbar at low-tide. This would make the perfect excuse for a walk along the beach. It would ensure they went out far enough that we could trail behind inconspicuously.
As they reached the end of the sandbank, we were already in place. He got down on one knee and popped the question. Nyla, of course, said yes! The surprise proposal was followed by a lovely portrait session and a few more shots for their highlight video. It’s safe to say this proposal at Banana Bay was a success.
