Proposals are one of our favorites at LWP. The excitement and nervousness are always contagious! As we’re based in Grand Bahama, we were able to suggest the perfect location for this early morning proposal.
This surprise proposal in Freeport at Banana Bay Beach was so sweet. Nomar and Nyla were on a cruise, and The Bahamas was just one of the many destinations they would visit. They grabbed a taxi and headed up for a beachside lunch at Banana Bay restaurant. Winter (my designated videographer) and I were already seated at a table, sipping a few drinks. We waited for the couple to order and enjoy their meal. Nomar and I exchanged knowing glances across the restaurant. As we were planning over the phone a few weeks prior, I advised him that Banana Bay always has a lovely sandbar at low tide. This would make the perfect excuse for a walk along the beach. It would ensure they went out far enough that we could trail behind inconspicuously.
We were already in place as they reached the sandbank’s end. He got down on one knee and popped the question. Nyla, of course, said yes! The surprise proposal was followed by a lovely portrait session and a few more shots for their highlight video. It’s safe to say this proposal at Banana Bay was a success.
