When Masha and Josh started planning their wedding Chic destination wedding at Lyford Cay, they quickly agreed on one top priority: They wanted to treat their family and friends to the Island where Josh had grown up vacationing with his family for years. “I wanted them to experience the bliss of the famous Lyford Cay Club, in Nassau, Bahamas.” And that’s how we got to photograph this gorgeous New York meets The Bahamas chic destination wedding weekend.
This weekend was a perfect blend of island ease and city flare. Bride and groom, Masha and Josh, stunned us speechless. Everything from the elegant decoration to the exquisite dishes The Lyford Cay Club served was fabulous. The celebrations kicked off with a sunset welcome party at the Lyford Cay Club in Nassau.
Beyond creating an amazing experience for their guests, Masha & Josh quickly arrived at their top wedding-planning priorities. For the groom, Josh, who owns the Michelin-starred restaurant Sushi Noz in New York, It was no surprise that the dishes served on the night were absolute perfection.”
Heartfelt speeches and teary-eyed toasts were made for Masha and Josh by guests of their large party. The following day, under the beautiful Bahaman sun and a clear and still sky, the couple tied the knot in their gorgeous outdoor ceremony at a private estate in the exclusive Lyford Cay. This was all planned to perfection by Araxie at Wildflowers Bahamas who was charged with making their vision of a beachfront affair a reality. “We wanted vendors who were excellent at what they do.
Masha wore a simple but beautiful gown by Monique Huillier, complete with a lace veil. Stylists Gigi and Aseel at Blow Bar created a flawless but simple look for Masha with an updo and soft tendrils framing her face and a clean sunkissed look for her makeup. Shoes by Bella Belle were intricate and detailed with lace embroidered flowers.
Josh donned a custom off-white suit. Overlooking the Seascape at Lyford Cay, their ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father and their dog Baguette, dressed with a veil walked down the aisle before the bride.
The newlyweds capped their chic destination wedding with a grand reception with heartfelt speeches that tugged at the heartstrings, and music by their guests DJ’s from New York, ensured the night was the perfect balance of fun and laughter.
