With over 700 islands and thousands of venues, how could you possibly choose one location for your Bahamas wedding? We know. It’s scary and intimidating. As soon as you think you’ve found the perfect spot, you stumble across one you love even more! Or, you’re working against a budget. We’ve gone through the trouble of making it a little easier for you. Here are The Bahamas’ best wedding destinations, according to LWP.
Four Seasons Ocean Club
Located on Paradise Island in New Providence, This five-star resort is one, if not the most luxurious hotel in the Bahamas. The Versailles Gardens bring any bride’s fairy tale to life. From the whimsical statues of Cupid and Psyche, to the koi fish ponds that crown the top of the stair-stepped garden, every element of the space truly fills you with enchantment.
Split into three different hotels: Grand Hyatt, Rosewood, and SLS Baha Mar, this 1,000 acre resort offers dozens of venue options and add-ons! Consider renting majestic pink flamingos or wow your guests with an authentic Bahamian Junkanoo rush-out.
The Other Side
TOS is the definition of “glamping”. Tents, bungalows, and shacks could not be more inviting and impressive. Found in the land of pineapples and pink sand beaches, ‘The Other Side‘ is a highly accurate name for this utopian getaway. Had it not been for the mangroves in the distance of the horizon, you wouldn’t be able to tell where the ocean ends and sky begins. Experience pure luxury without the hustle and bustle of typical tourist spots.
We absolutely cannot talk about private island wedding destinations without mentioning Kamalame Cay. This location is perhaps the most popular amongst LWP clients and has become sort of a second home for us. KC has mastered the balance of gourmet dining experiences and chic comfort, right in the heart of the Bahama islands.
The Garden of The Groves
Grand Bahama’s very own Garden of the Groves resembles something straight out of Alice in Wonderland. This botanical scene is an eye-full. Adorned with wildlife and whimsical artwork around every bend and curve, this sanctuary makes for bridal photos like no other. The cozy chapel at the top of the hill is filled with light throughout the day, which illuminates the blue and white soft color scheme.
Much like the Garden of the Groves, the Bahamas National Trust is filled with magnificent efflorescence. Full of wildlife, campsites, and gorgeous natural backdrops for your wedding portraits, BNT is the perfect “outdoorsy” venue. If you’re lucky, you might even see a flamingo or two!
Whether your vision dictates a classic church, a fun breezy beach or a modern outdoor ceremony, these locations are the best Bahamas wedding destinations. All images were shot by LWP!
