Glad to start of the week with my recent Bahamas newborn session of baby D. His mama Lisa sent me a whatsapp telling me he had arrived in the world and we quickly set up his newborn session 10 days after his birth which we photographed in his nursery. When I arrived he was sleeping sweetly but then decided he wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Seizing the opportunity to get some sweet shots with him awake, he was a perfect model giving me some serious eye contact.
After a long feed he dozed off and we continued with his session placing him on a variety of blankets and wraps. Sleepy babies make the best subject as this gives the opportunity of creative poses that wouldn’t be possible whilst they are awake.
We finally ended up with him in his mamas arms for a backlight shot, one of my favorite from the entire session. A few weeks after his session, Lisa and I had sales session where she picked out his gallery wall of 4 canvases and some beautiful print products.
I encourage all my clients to invest in prints and wall art as the joy they keep giving for generations to come is immeasurable.
