Our most recent Rise and Radiance Collective , a women empowerment initiative here in Freeport, Grand Bahama, was an evening filled with wisdom, connection, and a powerful reminder that clarity, confidence, and community are our greatest tools.
Held at Lightworx Creative Studio, the event brought together a room full of women ready to share, grow, and pour into one another. We were honored to welcome two dynamic guest speakers who lit the room up with their insight and authenticity.
Caline G. Newton – Prepared, Not Panicked
To kick us off, Caline G. Newton brought an energy we won’t soon forget. A born entrepreneur with an early spark of confidence, Caline shared how her path as a financial coach and serial entrepreneur was shaped by both ambition and experience.
The sudden loss of her father—who left behind no estate planning or documented assets—led her to create her newest project: Estate Ready. This comprehensive planner is designed to help families prepare for the unexpected. Organizing everything from medical history to assets, debts, wills, and more. With compassion and urgency, Caline reminded us that preparation is a form of love. Getting your affairs in order is one of the most empowering decisions you can make.
Of course, no Rise and Radiance evening is complete without a little fun! Between talks we mingled, sipped, shared, and played games with some amazing giveaways. Because every woman deserves to walk away with something extra (even if it’s just a big smile). One giveaway was a $50 discount for all attendees toward a physical copy of Estate ready. Caline also offered a free intro consultation for her financial coaching.
Ariel Jasmin – The Art of the Pivot
Next up, Ariel Jasmin, owner of Lignum Vitae Market and Café. She took us on a vulnerable and inspiring journey through her career transformation—from corporate fashion stylist at Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s executive program, to building a soulful and sustainable business here in The Bahamas.
Her talk, “The Pivot,” spoke to the many reinventions we’re often called to make in our lives. Ariel shared how, in moments of uncertainty, she learned to consult her younger self. She advised that this is the version of yourself who never loses sight of your core values. This deeply personal practice helped guide her through every transition. It kept her grounded in authenticity while evolving toward purpose.
Her story reminded us that pivots aren’t failures—they’re recalibrations. And that the younger version of ourselves holds more clarity than we give them credit for.
Lastly, we put out an open call to any attendees interested in becoming more involved in The Rise and Radiance Collective. Whether through planning, outreach, or support, we’re building something beautiful—and we’d love for every woman in our community to be a part of it. This women empowerment initiative is for every voice to be heard at full volume. Click here to receive more info
