Michelle & Michael’s Luxury Covid Wedding

Michelle & Michael’s Luxury Covid Wedding

Michelle & Michael's bridal portraits

In these times, no social event is safe. Michelle and Michael’s luxury covid wedding, however, was an exception.  The couple’s wedding was just about as elegant and fabulous as it gets, all Covid considered.  Complete with a live Junkanoo and the most beautiful flamingoes, Mike and Michelle blew their guests away. Despite the theatrics, the entire ceremony was something out of a fairytale. The Waterside Chapel at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar was but the height of luxury. White roses and glass display shelves from Wild Flowers Bahamas added to the bright lighting of the open windows and white walls. The bridesmaid’s gowns were jewel-toned gradients of blue, and the groomsmen donned signature tailored tuxedos.

Elegant, but modern.

Michelle’s Brides of Florida gown was a beautiful mermaid-style. The plunging neckline and intricate lace were the perfect balance of modern and sophisticated. The white dress blended seamlessly with her bouquet and veil. Her shoes from Badgely Mischka made a subtle appearance as her dress flared when she stepped. Michael, too, went the classic route. His black tux and bowtie combo were simple, yet timeless. The pair looked perfect standing hand-in-hand against the light of the window in the chapel.

As if the wedding wasn’t Disney-esque enough, Michelle and Michael took it a step further! The newlyweds decided to rent a pair of signature Bahamian flamingoes for their bridal portraits. Eye-catching and elegant, the majestic birds fit right in with the rest of the ceremony. As the sun began to set, the bridal party seemed to only pick up steam. The dance floor of the reception was just as hot as the sunny day of the wedding itself. Michelle and Michael entered together and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Eventually, the room swarmed with Junkanoo performers shaking cowbells and banging goatskin drums, closing the night out with a (literal) bang. The day may have begun with elegance and sophistication, but ended the island way!
