When I met with Shatarah & her sister last year at the colorful Arawak Cay, She seemed a little nervous but definitive of her decision to have me photograph her wedding.
After I heard her story which was so similar to mine, a 9 year relationship with Kamal and most of it spent apart I connected with her instantly.
With Kamal based in Jacksonsville & Shatarah in Nassau, they are planning a wedding on their home Island of Freeport, Grand Bahama.
A love like theirs is special, a love that conquers distance and time. A love that causes a physical ache, “a hunger” when you’re apart.
I can’t wait to share their day when they finally come together as man and wife and start their future together in the same space and time.
